This article explains how to update fonts and formatting within templates and within the recommended text.
Updating Fonts Within Templates
To update fonts or make text changes inside your templates, follow these steps:
- Select the text within the template you want to edit.
- Once the text is selected, you can apply the following changes:
- Create numbered lists
- Create bullet points
- Change the colour of the text
- Make the text bold
- Make the text italicised
- Add a link to the text
These formatting tools are available as soon as text is selected inside the template editor.
Updating Fonts Within Recommended Text
Please note that only UpMail Champions can update Recommended Text.
When you select a text snippet in your template, you'll see the Recommended Text panel on the right-hand side of the screen.
From here, you can:
- Select 'Edit' to update an existing snippet
- Select 'Add' to create a new snippet
Important: If you choose 'Edit', you will be editing the text snippet everywhere it is used across all templates. If you are unsure whether other templates should be affected, we recommend creating a new version of the text instead, by selecting 'Add'
Whether you choose 'Add' or 'Edit', the 'Edit Recommended Text' window will appear. In this window, you can:
- Create bullet points
- Create numbered lists
- Fix text alignment
- Change the colour of the text
- Make the text bold
- Make the text italicised
- Add a link to part of the text
- Change the font
- Change the size of the text
Note: Changing the font or size of a text snippet only affects the snippet you're currently editing. These changes do not apply to other text snippets in the template. If you want a consistent font across your template, you'll need to update each snippet individually.
You also have the option to name your text snippet and tag it. This makes it easier to locate and reuse your snippets when working with Recommended Text in the future.
