IMPORTANT: This requires your IT team to have configured Opera S&C reports following these instructions.
It will then require UpMail to configure your account specifically for this.
Please contact your UpMail Account Manager for further information.
Step 1: Click on Reports of “Room Block” with details of event in Micros Opera
Step 2: Generate XML File
- Select the report “UpMail Contract Rep” (this report would have been setup by your IT team)
- Select “XML” from the File Format in the drop down.
- Click OK
- Click File and save this file to the agreed UpMail location on your workstation.
Step 3: Upload XML file in UpMail
- Click on the Upload icon of a proposal template in your UpMail account

- Select the XML file previous saved on workstation
Step 4: Dispatch the email
The email is automatically populated with data from Opera S&C and ready to dispatch.
The fields available are the same as any fields on Opera S&C reports and proposals.
This includes (and not restricted to):
- Contact information
- Events specifications
- Packages
- Rooms
- Terms and conditions
- etc.
Documents such events schedule, with meeting rooms and bedrooms breakdowns can be automatically generated with data from Opera S&C and displayed across the email.
The user can preview, edit or remove the Event Schedule directly on the email.
The Event Schedule is always dispatched in PDF format.
If needed, this document can be easily edited by the user in Word Online before dispatching the email.
