Sometimes, after creating a template in UpMail, you may find you need to make updates or adjustments. With UpMail’s flexible template management, it’s easy to update a template by copying over the existing version. Here’s how to do it:
1. Select the Template
From the main Compose page, choose the template you want to modify.
2. Make Your Edits
Apply any changes needed to the content of the template.
3. Save As
Click ‘Save As’ and then select the original template location, which may be in Recommended Templates, Teams Templates, or My Templates.
Important Notes:
- Only UpMail Champions have permissions to save in the Recommended Templates folder.
- In some cases, your UpMail account may be configured to limit access to specific folders. If you see only Recommended Templates, your Champions may have restricted other folders to ensure you work from a standardized set of templates.
4. Copy Over the Template
If you keep the Template name the same as the original template, then select 'Create or copy over' a message will prompt you: "This template already exists, are you sure you want to copy it over?"
Note: If you save the updated template to a different folder (e.g., from Recommended to Teams), UpMail will create a new template instead of copying over the original.
5. Finalize the Replacement
Once you select ‘Copy Over’, the original template will be replaced with the new version.
This quick process helps you ensure all templates remain up-to-date and accurate.
